Strikes a cord with me :::waiting for delivery of a book from Firenze ( a 3 hour drive north) since Sept 23 … the sistem couldn’t figure out that the via cassia int meant Via Cassia interna ( centro storico) so the packet with a 10 euro book has been riding up and down on SDA trucks for about 3 weeks …

Aaah, yes, sounds rather similar to the Mexico mail system. When the mail gods are angry, annoying or unreasonable, one will have a problem. We eventually learned to bypass the MX system and used other avenues for delivery.

That Sourface is such a rule follower would be amusing if not for the frustration it put you through. That a water bill is classified as a parcel is a bit of a head-scratcher, though.

This is exactly what happens here in Greece! Logic is paradoxical or non existent! Today we went to our EFKA office to get our AMKA! Like the US Social Security and Medicare office. We've been twice already. Because my parents' names are not on my official birth certificate, they cannot issue me anything, even though we have a Greek stamped official paper that has their names on it.
